EquiOtic™ Daily Feed Packets - Equine Specific Probiotic Supplement
Live, Equine Specific Bacteria for Your Horse's Digestive Health
EquiOtic™ is a live, equine sourced probiotic supplement that combines the benefits of Lactobacillus reuteri with Saccharomyces boulardii to offer horse owners a powerhouse first line defense for the gastrointestinal tract. The hind gut requires a balance of beneficial bacteria for healthy function. That balance can easily be disrupted by stress, surgery, hospitalization, disease, training, travel or dietary changes. EquiOtic™ is an important tool in treating the compromised horse. It is also recommended as a daily feed additive to assist in the maintenance of normal gut flora. EquiOtic™ Feed Packets are excellent for daily administration. Each bag contains 30 packets (30 day supply)

Live and Equine Specific
EquiOtic™ is the only horse probiotic supplement that combines the benefits of equine sourced Lactobacillus reuteri with Saccharomyces boulardii in order to colonize the equine gut. The bacterium, L. reuteri, is of equine origin, cultured from the colon of the horse. In addition to the significance of viability and equine specificity, this L. reuteri has been shown to inhibit the growth of Salmonella and stimulate the immune system by preparing mucosal cells to respond to invasive bacteria. The bacterium, S. boulardii, stabilizes the pH/acidity of the large bowel, preventing gastrointestinal upsets such as colic and diarrhea. In addition, S. boulardii attaches to clostridial bacteria, eliminating them and neutralizes toxins produced by clostridium.
High Number of Colony Forming Units, Specialty Packaging
EquiOtic™ contains 40 billion colony forming units (CFU) (20 billion guaranteed at time of use) of both L. reuteri and S. boulardii. In order to ensure the viability of each portion or dose, EquiOtic™ is designed with special protective packaging.
When Should EquiOtic™ Be Used?
• During periods of abnormal G.I. Function • Before and during treatment with antibiotics • Before and during periods of stress • Before and during periods of hospitalization • Prior to shipping • Prior to a stressful performance • Weaning • Maintaining normal G.I. function
